Our Policies All rates are double occupancy, per night and are subject to change without notice. A major credit card is required to secure your stay - you may pay with an alternate payment method at checkout. We accept cash, traveler's checks, and most major credit cards.
Check In / Out Check-in is from 3:00pm until 8:00pm. Please let us know if you plan to arrive after 8:00pm. Check out is at 11:00am.
Minimum Stay Minimum stay requirements vary, but a two night minimum stay is occasionally required on weekends as well as on holidays, during special events and during all of foliage season. Please feel free to call to inquire about your specific travel requests as we can often accommodate other scenarios.
Deposit A deposit equal to half of your booking plus the full charge for any packages, gifts or add-ons will be charged at the time of booking. The remainder of the charges for your stay will be charged at checkout.
Cancellations Cancellation notices must be received (14) fourteen days prior to the date of arrival to avoid forfeiture of the balance due for your full stay. If we are able to re-book your room, we would be happy to offer a refund. You can call or email us to cancel and we will confirm your cancellation with an email cancellation letter. If you should need to cancel within the 14 day period, please call us so that we can do our best to get the room re-booked on your behalf.
Security Policy We are a completely PCI compliant property. Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transaction. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.
Children The 1850 House Inn & Tavern is not appropriate for young children; many of our guests are looking for a quiet getaway. Well-behaved children over the age of ten are welcome.
Pets We cannot accept pets at the inn.
Parking Parking is available on either side of the Inn and is always complimentary.
Smoking We are a completely non-smoking home. Smoking is allowed outdoors only. Please be courteous to others, smoking away from the house or open windows and please pick up after yourself. If evidence of smoking is found in your room, cleaning charges of $250 will billed to your credit card.
Breakfast We serve a continental breakfast every morning between 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. For our business travelers on Monday - Thursday with notice, we can prepare breakfast as early as 7 a.m. if needed. Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions.
Rates Our rates are based on double occupancy (single occupancy for business rates) and are subject to a 8% New York State Tax and a 2% Rooms Tax. The charge for an extra person is $25 per night and includes breakfast.
Legal Notice We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. We are not responsible for accidents or injury, damages to personal property or vehicles or for the loss of money or valuables of any kind.
Alcohol You are welcome to enjoy anything purchased from our pub anywhere on our property. However, New York state law prohibits outside alcohol from being consumed on our premises.
Forgotten Items Items left behind at the inn can be sent to you via mail at your request. The cost of shipping will be billed to your credit card.
